Rev. John Counsell, Lead Pastor
John became our lead pastor at Biker’s Church i September 2013, giving leadership to both Vanier Community and Capital City Biker’s Church. He brings a wealth of over 30 years of varied, full time ministry experience that includes everything from leading missions teams, media, pastoring, mentoring, and a ton of preaching.
You will find his approach unique, anything but “same old, same old.”
Pastor Rob McKee, Associate Pastor
Rob, his wife Melissa, and their three children live in the Ottawa, ON area where they have been ministering in the city for the past fifteen years. He has extensive expertise in Student ministry, preaching/teaching, and small group formation. His passions include skiing, coffee, the New Orleans Saints, and anything he can cook using his smoker.
Rob’s life inspires hope. Whether you find him in a coffee shop, patrolling the ski hills at Edelweiss, or in any church environment he’ll inspire you to, through faith in Jesus, overcome the odds you are facing, something he’s familiar with in life. A survivor of terminal cancer. Growing up without knowing his biological father, in Jesus Rob lives Hebrews 6:19. “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.”
Rob is a sought after speaker for students and adults. He is an ordained minister with Open Bible Faith Fellowship.
Meagan Habbouche: Children & Family Ministries Director
An Ontario Certified Teacher since 2010 and Special Needs Worker since 2007, Meagan has devoted much of her time to teaching children and helping families of all walks of life across 5 continents. God perfectly prepared her for her calling to the children’s ministry at Vanier Community Church and she began serving in that area in 2013. She received her Ministerial Diploma in 2015.
Meagan is passionate about equipping volunteers and raising up children to know and love God and His Word. You will usually find her tackling a new challenge, off on another adventure and doing her best to serve the Lord with all her heart and soul.
Beth Beaven: Administrator
After 15 years of administrative work at various government and private industries, Beth took 10 years off to concentrate on her family and then another 5 years working as an Adult Crossing Guard at a local school.
Beth has felt it is now time to use her administrative giftings that God has given her. She came on staff at the church as Administrator in January 2016, but has been part of the Capital City Biker’s Church since 2007.
She obtained her Ministerial Diploma in 2014.
